Liverpool owner Tom Werner has spoken of his club's position on extending the contract of his star Mohamed Salah.
Salah's contract with Liverpool expires at the end of next season and so far he has not reached an agreement with his club on renewal.
"I want to keep negotiations with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane confidential," Werner told The Athletic.
"We have clearly made it clear that we want Salah and Mani to stay," the American businessman added.
Salah can sign for any team next January and join him the following summer for free.
"I'm not going to say any more, I'll leave the rest to Julian Ward, the new athletic director," he said.
Mohamed Salah is preparing to play the Champions League final against Real Madrid on Saturday (May 28th).

Liverpool's top scorer sent a message after the end of the Premier League and before the Champions League final.
"We are not finished yet," Salah said on his personal Twitter account.
Liverpool lost the league title by one point from Manchester City, who won the last round by three goals to two.
Salah became the fourth player to win the title three times after Henry, Shearer and Kane.
Egypt's captains, Harry Kane and Alan Sherrard equalled Henry's four titles.

Salah became the second Premiership player to combine the Golden Boot title with the best playmaker after Harry Kane last season in the award that began in the 2017-18 season.
A Liverpool player won the Golden Boot for the seventh time to unset the partnership with Arsenal as the most winning club.
Salah scored the league's top scorer in 2017-18 with 32 goals and the 2018-19 season with 22 goals.
This is the fifth time that more than one player has shared the title of scorer.
